Bernard Gardner Spitfire Flight
I do not know how many of us knew Bernard Gardner, who lives in Jersey still, and was based there with BIA, hence some of us had the pleasure of flying with him.
An ex-Typhoon pilot, of WW2 variety not the modern one, he was an absolute gentleman always. Robert Burgess, who was my vintage BIA, came across this news item of Bernard recently having a flight in a two-seat Spitfire out of Duxford. A nice piece of good news from Duxford in 2020.
