2026 Shuttleworth Summer Air Show Meet-Up
Saturday 25 July 2026
We are delighted to invite all ex AirUK staff, together with partners, families, friends and, of course, well-behaved dogs (on leads, please!), to join us for another enjoyable day together at the Shuttleworth Summer Air Show.
The event takes place at The Shuttleworth Collection, Old Warden Airfield, Bedfordshire, conveniently located just off the A1, and always provides a wonderful setting for our informal get-together.
Full details of the event, including ticket prices, the flying programme, aircraft line-up, attractions, visitor information and FAQs, are available on the Shuttleworth website at https://www.shuttleworth.org/about/about-shuttleworth/air-shows. Simply select the Summer Air Show, Saturday 25 July 2026, for all the latest information.
Camping
For those wishing to make a weekend of it, camping is available from Wednesday, 22 July, through to Monday, 27 July, on the well-organised campsite situated alongside the main runway.
Travel Information
Please be aware that roadworks are currently taking place at the Black Cat Roundabout on the A1, north of Shuttleworth. It is worth checking the latest traffic information online or with the AA before setting off.
The entrance postcode is SG18 9DT. While this may not take you directly to the entrance, it will bring you onto the B658, where clearly marked yellow Shuttleworth signs will guide you along the access road named Alder Dr. You can also use the What 3 Words location: ///volcano.polka.airship https://w3w.co/volcano.polka.airship
On the Day
- Gates are open from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm.
- Shuttleworth operates a cashless payment system, so please remember to bring a payment card.
- There will be an afternoon flying display, followed by a late evening display, weather permitting, when the lighter aircraft, such as the historic Boxkite, take to the skies as the wind drops.
- A special highlight this year will be the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the Spitfire, with organisers hoping to have several Spitfires participating.
As always, we recommend bringing a picnic and a few folding chairs so that you can relax and enjoy the day at your own pace. Food and refreshments are available on site if preferred, and there is also an M&S Simply Food at Junction 10 of the A1 should you wish to pick up supplies on the way.
All that remains is to keep our fingers crossed for perfect flying weather and not too hot!
Whether you’re joining us for the day or staying for a few nights, we very much hope you’ll be able to come along. It’s always a pleasure to catch up with old friends, share a few stories, and enjoy another memorable AirUK gathering.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Very best wishes,
Adele
