14th September 2016 Duxford

The 2016 Informal Reunion took place on Wednesday September 14th at Duxford Imperial War Museum which followed Clive’s normal arrangement of a fine day for the Reunion but need not have been quite so hot – the temperature peaked at 27.5C and that was in the shade, but very little shade when walking between the hangars or lining up for the group photograph.

The group photograph was in front of the AirUK Herald as great work has been done on it since our last visit. The aircraft was opened up for anyone to enter who wished to do so and former crews were cordially invited to sign the brand new Visitor’s Book, which they did.

The only downside to the day were the ‘improvements’ in the restaurants, wooden furniture being replaced by thin plastics and menus substituted for hot buffets.

As ever, a good turnout and another happy day of catching up with current news and remembering a good many interesting days.
