Latest set of pictures feature the various series of Friendships operated by Air Anglia and Air UK.

G BLFJ Fokker F27-100 Aberdeen May 1992.

Originally G SPUD then G OMAN the joint British Midland/Air UK Manx Airlines subsidiary. Re-registered in 1984 as G BLFJ, served Air UK until 1994. The 100 series had 44 seats fitted, but had lower maximum weights. Broken up Norwich 1996. Photo Alastair T Gardiner.

G BLGW Fokker F27-200 Southampton April 1998.

Original Air Anglia aircraft, also flew on lease with British Midland. Withdrawn from Air UK use 1994 and broken up in Norwich 1995. Photo Gerhard Plomitzer.

G BFDS Fokker F27-400 Edinburgh February 1978.

A leased aircraft from Fokker used by Air Anglia for a short time between October 1977 and November 1978. Photo Martin Harrison.

G BNCY Fokker F27-500 Jersey May 1989.

Delivered new to Ansett NSW. With Air UK from 1987 until its accident at Guernsey July 1997, when it overran the end of the runway landing in crosswind conditions and was damaged beyond repair. Photo Richard Vandervord.

G BNIZ Fokker F27-600 Southend February 1988.

Only with Air UK a little over a year from June 1987.It was sold to Denmark, later flew with Channel Express who made good use of its freight door, then sold in Turkey. Photo Richard Vandervord.

G BNAL Fokker F27-600 Norwich April 1995.

Operated with Air UK from 1986 until 1995 then sold to Brazil, Severe damage when control was lost on landing and aircraft left the runway at Tarauala Airport Brazil in 2003. Withdrawn from use. Photo Richard Vandervord.
