Richard Vandervord Allows Us Use Of His AirUK Photo Images

Richard Vandervord a much respected aircraft photographer has kindly offered his collection of Air Anglia, BIA & Air UK photo images for use on the Air UK reunion web site. We will be featuring Richards pictures in the future and thank him for his generous offer.

Pictured in the modified colour scheme, this was originally with BIA as G OBIA and re-registered in May 1982.Left Air UK service in December 1982 and sold in America. Photo Richard Vandervord.

G BMXD Fokker F27 – 500. Southampton July 1989.
Joined the fleet in 1986, the 500 series used predominately on Channel Island services. 5 round trips a day JER/SOU/JER for six months would produce an extra 14,560 seats compared to a F27 200 series. Left Air UK in 1998 to BAC Express and broken up in Edinburgh. Photo Norman Cox.
